This past week was definitely the low point within the three week cycle. I am learning that Day 8 and 9 are the days to be dreaded. However, this time was easier than the previous cycle. I did not get a fever. I had daily needles of the neupogen drug seven times rather than five. This probably helped to boost the white blood cells.
Last Friday, Elizabeth Johnson, the Fordham University theologian, gave a lecture at Loyola House “A Faith that Loves the Earth.” Simply said, she was great. I also saw a few people there that I have not seen for a while, which was also great.
My energy is improving this week, so I have a full week planned! Mind you, my plans are limited as they should be.
